Blair Kaplan Venables Partners in Opening a  Youth After-School Center in Ghana

British Colombia, Canada – Blair Kaplan Venables, author of the bestselling book, The Global Resilience Project, has recently announced that she is helping to open a youth center in Ghana called The Oasis: Impact Xperience Hub. Kaplan Venables is partnering with Godsway Tek Agyagbo, founder of  Impact Xperience, and will be traveling to Ghana for the grand opening of The Oasis: Impact Xperience Hub and to teach resilience workshops to the youth who are living in the Volta Region of Ghana.

“Many youths in the Volta Region of Ghana live in broken homes, have food insecurities, and lack financial stability,” says Kaplan Venables. “Because of this, these youth engage in dangerous activities to earn income to support themselves and their families. The Oasis: Impact Xperience Hub is Godsway’s passion to help will provide mentorship, a safe environment, and the opportunity to learn new skills.”

Impact Xperience is an organization active exclusively in rural communities in the Volta Region of Ghana. Their name reflects their holistic approach to projects; all of which are built around the most pressing and direct needs of disadvantaged communities, organizations, and programs in the region.

Godsway Tek Agyagbo has collaborated with local schools and villages to organize youth training sessions, career, and education mentorship workshops, monitor at-risk students, and implement youth development programs. More recently, Agyagbo has a new dream of providing support to at-risk children living in the village he grew up in.

“I have been working with Godsway since December 2022 and have seen the impact he’s already made by bringing in volunteers and organizing educational workshops for youth all over his region. Godsway has proven to be one of the most selfless people I’ve ever come across and I want to do all that I can to support his vision,” says Kaplan Venables.

Earlier this year, Impact Xperience received funding from Blair Kaplan Venables, Founder of The Global Resilience Project, to rent a property to start an after-school center in his village. His mission is to ensure young people in his community have the support and opportunities they need to succeed- to be defined by their potential, not their circumstances.

Godsway needs financial support to provide resources for operating The Oasis: Impact Xperience Hub.  Currently, the team has the property secured for this project, but they’re still seeking donations to help garner all supplies necessary to be able to run these operations.

With a goal of $7,500, they’re still seeking donations to help garner all supplies necessary to be able to run these operations and to build an empowerment center where:

  • Educational workshops, individual tutoring, and after-school classes will be FREE for everyone in the community
  • Students from 5 different schools within 3 villages will be impacted; projected to reach over 150+ students
  • 10+ different courses will be offered monthly
  • One-on-One Tutoring
  • IT & Coding
  • Filmmaking, Graphic Design
  • Science Practicals
  • Creative Arts
  • Public Speaking
  • Public Health Education
  • Career Development

Every dollar counts because every donation gives a student the chance of having a safe learning environment and a sense of community that can change the trajectory of their lives.
