Randy Brown Chosen to Speak at 2022 Des Moines Storytellers Project

Fort Dodge, IA – National speaker, international author, mentor, and networking coach, Randy Brown, is thrilled to announce that he has been chosen to speak on the topic of Bad Advice: Accepting, Ignoring, or Just Plain Regretting Another Person’s Help at the 2022 Des Moines Storytellers Project on August 30, 2022. 

“I’ve wanted to participate in the Storytellers Project since it began in 2016,” said Brown. “The topic is close to my heart and I’m hopeful it will land with the audience in a way to consider better, more healthy ways of rebounding forward from adversity like I’ve learned to do.” Brown who spoke in June at the bLU Talks event at Columbia University in NYC, and almost half a dozen podcast interviews this month, is stretching his speaking preparation and skills by participating in the Storytellers Project. 

The Storytellers Project is a series of live storytelling nights where Des Moines Register journalists curate and host nights of true, first-person stories from neighbors and notables. The Register’s award-winning journalists help community members draw out authentic, personal experiences and hone them into engaging dialogue. The Storytellers Project sends a message that everyone has a story worth telling and that everyone CAN tell it.

Since its founding in 2016, more than 150 community members have taken the stage to share their stories with more than 6,000 audience members. There are a variety of packages and options available, starting at $12 with the Standard Admission ticket and going up to $150 for the VIP Season Ticket Package.
