Pittsburgh, PA – The Global Sisterhood, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women and children around the world, is celebrating its tenth anniversary with the grand opening of its new headquarters in Warrendale, Pennsylvania. The grand opening will occur on Saturday, December 2nd, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Global Sisterhood Headquarters at 50 Pennwood Pl, Suite 200, Warrendale, PA 15086.
The Global Sisterhood has been a beacon of hope for women and children in need for the past decade, providing them with education, resources, and support. The organization’s mission is to create a world where all women have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
“We are so excited to celebrate this milestone with our community,” said Dr. Shellie Hipsky, Founder and CEO of the Global Sisterhood. “Our new headquarters will be a hub for women to come together, learn, and grow. We are committed to continuing to empower women and children around the world for many years to come.”
The Grand Opening event will feature delicious charcuterie by Burgh Boxes and Boards, networking opportunities, and a raffle for beautiful gift baskets. Ujamma Collective 501(c)(3) will sell beautiful local and fair-trade goodies from Africa. The official ribbon-cutting ceremony will be hosted by the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the day is sponsored by PNC Bank.
13 Non-Profit Organizations will be representing some of the many Charity Partnerships connected to the Global Sisterhood. There are many incredible women leaders of nonprofits who will be in attendance including the Executive Director of Sisters in Sports’ Danelle Umstead who is the gold medal paralympic champion downhill skier. Umstead who is blind and has MS was the first visually-impaired competitor on Dancing with the Stars. With so many empowered women in the new Global Sisterhood headquarters, it will make for an inspirational Saturday afternoon!
