Vancouver, Canada – In an effort to bring more wholesome films to the screen, the CEO of Family Friendly Screenwriting Academy is officially launching a new screenwriting mentorship program in the fall of 2023. There is a growing demand for Family Friendly films, and to help find and showcase quality writing, Jaclyn & Geoff Whitt are hoping to raise the standard of scriptwriting in the family film genre.
Co-Director of Family Friendly Screenwriting Academy, Jaclyn Whitt, is dedicated to making an impact in the film industry. “How great would it be if you could turn your published book into a screenplay?” asked the professional screenwriter. “In our new Book to Screen program, we teach writers how to structure your story elements and character arcs to work for the screen – either for a feature-length film or a pilot.”
Whitt knows what she’s talking about. She’s won over 30 screenwriting awards and has two features and a sitcom currently in pre-production. Her feature screenplay, Solitary Refinement, has won 13 awards in 7 different countries.
The “Book to Screen” program offers guidance each step of the way via live-online interactive classes with quality instructors. Writers will have a chance to share their progress and receive feedback in mentor-led workshopping sessions. Students will also be able to watch the class replays, interact with their classmates, and post questions for the instructors throughout the week in their private online community group.
The “Book to Screen” program begins Thursday, September 21, at 8 pm EST and is exclusive to published authors.
